So here you are on the Software Page, your here because your BIOS has a password on it or you have cleared your Service Tag and want to set it back.  OK so here's a little lesson on what the DST software actually does.
First there are 4 build's of the DST software, a floppy, a CDrom a USB Key and a Hard drive, so which one will you use ?

Well that all depends on what you want to achieve,  if your boot order is locked then you can use the floppy,USB  or the CD rom but first you have to remove the HD unit from the laptop, this will force the laptop to use the next bootable drive in the list,

If the boot order isnt locked then you can use either the CD, USB or the floppy dependant on what removable drive you have in the laptop, you can only use the USB DST if your laptop supports "Boot from USB device"

If your laptop doesn't have CD, floppy and doesn't boot from USB then your only option is to get a spare Harddrive and build a bootable harddrive, there is a link on the homepage on how to do this. I have also built a floppy that is capable of doing all the formatting and file copying needed to create a bootable harddrive, all this is in the instructions on the homepage link to building a bootable harddrive.
So on the nextpage simply click the type of file you want, once it's downloaded either burn the CD image to a CD and off you go or if it's the floppy, just place a blank floppy in the drive and run the program ( I created a self writing version just to make it easier for you). all images contain instructions in a readme with full instructions on how to use it.
